Our History

Arise started with leaders from North Minneapolis who wanted to solve financial problems affecting underserved communities. Their goal was to create a credit union that gave people who were often left out of traditional banking a fair chance at success.

With help from the Association for Black Economic Power (ABEP), we became Minnesota’s first Black-led credit union. We’re here to offer simple, honest financial services that help unbanked and underbanked people manage their money, overcome challenges, and build a stable future.
